Two stage treatment of distal occlusion with help of orthodontic appliance “Herix” and self-ligating braces for adult

  1. We were contacted by the man 40 years old. He was diagnosed with deep distal occlusion, narrowing of dentition in the lateral areas, teeth crowding.
  1. The first stage of treatment involved wearing of orthodontic appliance “Herix” (for expanding the roof of the mouth). This process lasted 1 month and 2 weeks.
  1. Once orthodontic appliance was taken out, self-ligating braces for the upper jaw were fixed.
  1. Few weeks later we fixed self-ligating braces for the lower jaw.
  1. The whole process of treatment from the beginning took 14 months. Patient left satisfied with the final result.
