Aesthetic rehabilitation of failed metal-ceramic crowns after 12 years of use
- A patient from the United States contacted us with complaints about the unsatisfactory aesthetic and functional condition of metal-ceramic crowns previously fabricated at another clinic.
- The following were noted: shape and color discrepancies, multiple gingival recessions in the marginal areas, and chips along the incisal edge of the central incisor. The crowns had been in use for 12 years.
- We proposed replacing the metal-ceramic crowns to all-ceramic zirconia dioxide restorations with simultaneous soft tissue correction.
- Given the patient's limited time in the country, the entire treatment was completed within 10 days.
- The patient rated the functional and aesthetic results as excellent.
- The final result of the work.
