Digital smile design and production of CAD/CAM restorations in a complex aesthetic case
The patient contacted us with a wish to change the shape, inclination and color of her teeth. There is no history of contraindications to dental treatment.
In 2015, she was fitted with ceramic crowns; she also had implants previously installed in the area of 16,17,12, 25,37 teeth. X-ray examination showed that the implants were osseointegrated well.
The patient had intraoral photographs taken and a 3D smile analysis was performed using digital smile analysis software.
The 3D printed model was created from a digital design in software and used to create silicone indexes to produce an intraoral mock-up that was approved by the Patient.
After approval of the shape and color of the teeth, we began total rehabilitation with zirconium crowns.
The patient was satisfied with the result of prosthetics.
Regular preventive examinations show stable functional and aesthetic results.
