Complete smile restoration: a combination of two types of implant-supported dentures restored aesthetics and full chewing function

  1. The patient contacted us after years of dental problems: complaints of missing teeth, difficulty chewing, and embarrassment while smiling. His main request was to restore full function and aesthetics so he could feel confident in social interactions again. An important condition was that the entire surgical procedure be performed under intravenous sedation and temporary crowns fixed immediately after the surgery.
  1. After a thorough examination and digital planning, we developed a plan for the complete rehabilitation of both jaws: • An FP1 denture, which fully imitates natural teeth, was installed on the upper jaw; • Bone reduction was performed on the lower jaw to create a proper smile line and biomechanics, after which an FP3 denture, imitating gum tissue, was installed.
  1. The entire surgical procedure was performed under intravenous sedation within four hours. Immediately after the surgery, we placed temporary crowns while simultaneously performing interdental papilla grafting. This technique allowed us to create a natural soft tissue relief, ensuring the final zirconium crowns on anodized titanium bars look as natural as possible.
  1. Result: beautiful and functional teeth that the patient perceives as their own.
