All-on-4 protocol with severe generalized periodontitis
- Many years ago a patient was fitted with metal-ceramic crowns. During her first visit to the clinic, she was concerned about teeth mobility, bad breath and some teeth had changed their position. A significant reduction of bone tissue around teeth roots was observed on the x-ray.
- It was decided to remove all the remaining teeth, install 4 implants on each jaw and fix temporary crowns in the coming days after the implantation.
- After agreeing on the treatment plan with the patient, we started implementing the "all-on-4" protocol. 5 days after implantation 10 temporary crowns were fixed on each jaw.
- Four months later the temporary crowns were replaced with zirconia crowns reinforced with a titanium milled beam.
- As a result, the patient received 12 zirconium teeth on each jaw.
